Well, when you’re ready to take the tree down this year you’ve got a couple of choices. You can haul it over to the Opelika Chamber of Commerce Parking lot now, or wait for Saturday Morning, when you can swap it for a tree seedling. Keep Opelika Beautiful and the Opelika Tree Commission along with other volunteers will gather the trees on Saturday.  Some will be ground to mulch, while others will become feeding areas in local lakes. The official project time is Saturday, 9AM til 2PM.
