Tuesday Night is the final Summer Swing in Monkey Park. It brings and end to summer (if not summer weather) and the beginning of a new school year, which began on Tuesday. Route 66 is back to close out the year, again this year.
And the Farmer’s Market will continue for a few more weeks. Today at 2PM.
So, is summer going by as fast for you? Just four more event remain. Tuesday Night (July 20th) – The Fedoras will perform! This acoustic duo plays folk, pop, and bluegrass tunes the whole family will enjoy.
Music Starts at 7PM, with food from the band booster about 6:15PM!
Tomorrow, Tuesday, June 29th it’s the Auburn University Summer Concert Band – 70 Pieces Conducted by Dr. Rick Good. A Variety of Band Music, Marches, Overtures, and Show-tunes will be featured. Join the fun in Monkey Park. Music starts at 7PM, with food and fun starting around 6PM!
Summer Swing continues with an Elvis Tribute tonight (Tuesday, June 22nd). Bill J. Brooks -ELVIS Lives Concert –It’s a Top rated Elvis Tribute artist in the S.E. This show is dynamic, entertaining, moving and family friendly. Elvis fan or not, you are in for a rare treat. Thank you, Thank you very much!
Then don’t forget to drop by the Farmer’s Market earlier in the day. It’s 2 to 5 this year, and from what I understand last week the crowds and the goodies where plentiful. The Main Street Farmer’s Market continues thru the summer downtown in Opelika along South Railroad Avenue, between 8th and 9th Street.
Tonight (Tuesday, June 1st) It’s Neil Diamond Tribute Artist Conner Lorre. Conner is a top tier singer with a fun and unique talent. He dazzles his audiences as a singing voice impersonator. Conner Lorre is clearly one of the best Neil Diamond voice impersonators in the world. Almost certainly the best you’ve ever heard
Tonight (May 25th) It’s the S.E. Alabama Community Band, a 58-member Band, Conducted by Dr. Johnny Long, Troy Univ. Band Director Emeritus. Marches, Broadway Show Tunes & Classical Music. Music at 7PM, with burgers and dogs from the band boosters about 6:15PM
Grab a lawn chair or blanket and head for Monkey Park for the second in a series of concerts throughout the summer. Tonight: May 18th – OHS Jazz Ensemble; Local talent, Jazz Rock, Swing & Jazz. Food starts about 6:15, with the Jazz Ensemble at 7PM. Presented by Opelika Parks and Recreation.
