Why I Won’t Fly Delta Again!
Friday, July 30th, 2010From time to time, I let personal feelings drive a post here. Today is one of those times. After years of being a fan of Delta, if not air travel, I hope that I’ve taken my last trip on the airline. After a snafu during the ticket purchase recently and some additional late charges I didn’t see coming, I received a canned response from Delta (right from some Knowledge Base no doubt). I just hate it when a company forgets about the little guy! Since I choose who I fly with, my choice will be with someone else. Without sharing their entire responce I especially liked the following line.
While we would like to offer special consideration in cases such as yours, we are unable to honor the many similar requests that we receive from others in equally deserving situations. We follow a consistent policy to ensure that we are fair to everyone who travels with us. Accordingly, we must respectfully decline your request. Andrew – On Line Support Desk (Delta)
Maybe the words should be “consistent policy to ensure that we are unfair to everyone who travels”. Sorry Audra, you might have been right about Delta all along.
