Events, Opelika News Leave a comment.

It’s been so plesant this weekend. And the low tonight is down to 47. Yikes, I think I need to get that electric blanket with gas prices so high. I’ll fight the urge to hit the heat button tonight!! It’s back to 80 for Monday! I suspect, I’ll hit the cool button before the day is over.

Sam Adams Beer at Outback Steakhouse in Opelika, Alabama

Steph was at the Outback Bar making sure we had enough “Sam Octoberfest” to warm us up before heading home. Did a short order (5 wings) of wings with that special beer price. Well, at least it warmed my heart. Oh yea, Nice new Tatto! It can mean several things, huh? They say once you get one, a Tatto, you want more. Okay, I’ll have to experience that for myself, but not anytime soon.

Then there were those Hockey and Rugby fans at the bar tonight. What the heck is that?

Big Swamp Harley Opens in Opelika

And if you thought you noticed a few more Harley’s around town this weekend, it was probably the case. The Big Swamp Harley Davidson Shop opened out near Mike Patton Ford/Chrysler this past week. It’s some kind of place. I wonder if Mike Hubbard has dropped by yet? Remember the picture from April as work began on the building? They actually had a Harley Ride that ended at the new dealership on Saturday. Welcome Big Swamp to the Big Swamp!!

Parks & Rec Trail of Terror at Springvilla in Opelika, Alabama

The Trail of Terror kicks off this weekend out a Springvilla. Check out all the upcoming events for the next several weeks on the calendar page.

Several things this week. Wicks (the guys I work for) will have a Portland, OR seminar at the Portland Embassy Suites at the airport. We have a full group attending the event. And Austrailian buddy Steve Littleford is in town on Thursday for some meetings at our office. His partner Jeannie is also in for the meetings. They get in late, so I think that our traditional trip to Outback Steakhouse may not happen this year. Maybe some Red at The Rail. Yea, we can do that.
